It may take up to 24 hours for your new eyelash extensions’ adhesive to fully cure. Please follow this After Care Guide for best results. The Beehive will not be held responsible for failure to follow our After Care Guide.
For the First 24 Hours:
Do NOT expose your eyelash extensions to water.
Do NOT rub, tug, or “play” with your eyelash extensions.
Do NOT apply any cosmetics (especially oil based) near the lash line of your eyelash extensions.
DO wash your eyelashes daily with a non-oily face wash. We recommend Queen Bee Face Wash made right here on Maui along with our foaming lash bath from Sinful Lashes.
It is important to clean lashes thoroughly. A build up of dust or make up and natural skin oil on the lash line will negatively affect the durability of the adhesive used on your eyelash extensions and could lead to potential skin problems around your eyes.
How to Clean Your Eyelash Extensions
Splash your eyes with warm water.
Gently massage your cleansing product along the lash line and eyelashes.
Splash with water until all the soap is rinsed away.
Pat dry the skin around your lashes with a dry towel.
Let your lashes air dry.
Daily Care
Once dry, gently use a disposable mascara wand to separate your new eyelash extensions.
Do not worry if you see a few eyelashes have fallen out. Everyone loses 1-5 natural lashes every day without noticing. This is normal.
Do not use regular mascara; regular mascara may cause your extensions to come off.
Do not tug or pull your eyelashes, this may cause damage to your natural eyelashes.
Avoid extreme heat or steam such as a sauna, jacuzzi, hot yoga, or really hot shower/bath.
Some Really Important Tips
You may need to adjust your sleeping position. Sleeping on your side or stomach may damage your eyelash extensions. Any sleeping or relaxing position in which your eyelashes make contact with your pillow should be avoided.
On your next fill appointment, make sure your eyelashes are clean and free of mascara & make up. It is not The Beehive’s responsibility to clean your eyelashes.
Schedule your fill appointment every 2 to 3 weeks to keep your eyelashes looking their best. We highly recommend scheduling your fill appointment as you leave your initial eyelash appointment so as not to go too long. We may have to upcharge if 50% of lashes do not remain.
